The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has been awarded “Best in Show” at the Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO) during Mobile World Congress 2026 held in Barcelona, Spain.
Announced by Samsung Electronics on March 6, 2026, the award recognises the device for groundbreaking mobile innovation and consumer-focused technology. The GLOMO Awards, organised annually by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA), celebrate products that set benchmarks for the mobile industry.
The “Best in Show” category is considered one of the highest honours in the sector and is judged by more than 200 independent analysts, journalists and industry experts.
Innovation Recognised by Industry Experts
At the March 4 awards ceremony, the Galaxy S26 Ultra was recognised for combining advanced hardware with proactive software through One UI 8.5. The device integrates Galaxy AI, designed to deliver adaptive and context-aware intelligence aimed at simplifying everyday tasks while strengthening security and privacy.
Judges highlighted the device’s ability to push the boundaries of mobile technology while delivering practical benefits to users.
World-First Privacy Display Technology
A key innovation recognised in the award is the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s built-in Privacy Display, described as the world’s first technology of its kind. The feature is designed to give users a more private viewing experience while maintaining display brightness and clarity.
The smartphone is also powered by a customised chipset designed to enhance the performance of Galaxy AI and improve overall mobile experiences.
Judges Highlight Real-World Impact
Shaun Collins, Chair of the Judges for MWC Best in Show 2026, said the competition this year was particularly strong.
He noted that the Galaxy S26 Ultra stood out for delivering meaningful real-world impact while advancing mobile innovation, especially through its focus on digital privacy, security and user trust.
The judging panel added that while many technologies showcased at the event represent future concepts, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a product consumers can already experience today.

Stephanie Choi, Executive Vice President and Head of Mobile Marketing Centre at Samsung Electronics’ Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, said the recognition underscores the company’s commitment to advancing the mobile industry.
She said the Galaxy S26 Ultra represents an “agentic AI phone” designed to push technological boundaries while delivering practical innovations for users.
