The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Nairobi County has partnered with Zoho Africa to accelerate digital transformation among Kenya’s next generation of entrepreneurs through a technology-focused business engagement.
The partnership seeks to equip business owners with practical digital tools to improve operational efficiency, strengthen customer engagement, and support sustainable business growth in an increasingly technology-driven economy.
Speaking during the business insights event held at ALX Kenya, The Piano, Brookside Drive, KNCCI Nairobi County Chairman Dr. James Mwaura said embracing innovation is essential for businesses seeking to remain competitive.
”The future of African business will be defined by entrepreneurs who embrace innovation and digital transformation. Through our partnership with Zoho Africa, we are equipping entrepreneurs with world-class digital tools to build resilient, scalable, and future-ready businesses,” he said.
Mwaura noted that the engagement forms part of KNCCI Nairobi’s broader strategy to support entrepreneurs through mentorship, market access, technology adoption, strategic partnerships, and capacity-building initiatives.
KNCCI Nairobi Director Charles Gitau added that the collaboration is designed to reduce some of the barriers that prevent smaller businesses from adopting digital technologies, while also creating opportunities for continuous skills development through joint engagement programmes.
Entrepreneurs who participated in the event were drawn from two flagship programmes. The Afya Bridge Program which supports healthcare enterprises by providing mentorship, technical support, investment readiness, and market linkages and the Young Entrepreneurs Leadership Accelerator (YELA), launched in June 2026, a six-month programme designed to develop young business leaders through training in innovation, finance, governance, sustainability, market access, and business growth.
The Zoho Africa engagement marked the official Innovation and Technology thematic session under the YELA programme, giving participants practical exposure to digital business systems aimed at improving productivity and business performance.
The programme featured keynote presentations from Zoho Africa, a panel discussion on the role of digitalization in business growth, live demonstrations of Zoho’s integrated business applications, customer success stories, and one-on-one consultations with digital transformation experts.
Veera Kumar, CEO of Zoho Africa said the partnership reflected a shared commitment to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises with accessible digital solutions that enhance productivity, strengthen competitiveness, and contribute to Kenya’s economic transformation.
