KCB Bank has launched a redesigned mobile banking app, promising customers a faster, more secure, and user-friendly experience as part of its digital transformation drive.
Instant Self-onboarding and personalised banking
The new platform introduces self-onboarding capabilities, allowing customers to register and begin banking instantly, anytime, and anywhere. Powered by advanced artificial intelligence, data analytics, and a mini-app ecosystem, the app offers a truly personalised and future-ready banking experience built for scale, agility, and inclusivity.
KCB Bank Director, Digital Financial Services, Angela Mwirigi, said the upgrade reflects the bank’s dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction.
“We have listened to our customers, understood their needs, and invested in a platform that brings banking closer to them in the safest and convenient way possible. It is part of our promise to make banking better, simpler, and more accessible for everyone,” she stated.
Riding on growing mobile banking uptake
The launch comes on the back of strong mobile banking growth in the first quarter of 2025. KCB reported a 28 per cent increase in the value of mobile loans disbursed to KShs. 116 billion, with over 309.1 million transactions processed — an indicator of rising customer confidence in its digital platforms.
Aligned to KCB Group strategy 2024–2026
The revamped app rollout is anchored in the bank’s strategic plan, “Transforming Today Together”, which focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver tailor-made, market-leading financial solutions. This strategy aims to meet the evolving needs of diverse customer segments while reinforcing KCB’s market leadership in digital finance.
The initiative also aligns with the bank’s brand purpose, “For People. For Better”, reaffirming its mission to remove barriers to financial access and deliver inclusive, technology-driven solutions.
Availability and migration
The new KCB Mobile Banking App is available for download on the Google Play Store, the Apple App Store, and HarmonyOS. Existing customers using the old app will receive official communication on how to migrate to the updated platform.
