In a compelling address at the CFF Kiambu Church earlier today, Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party Leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka called for national unity and criticized fear-mongering in Kenyan politics.
Bishop John Michael Wanderi, who led the service, delivered a sermon cautioning the congregation about the power of words. “Create your own life; mould your own destiny through the words of your mouth,” Bishop Wanderi advised.
The former Vice President expressed gratitude for the sermon, stating he was “leaving Kiambu renewed in spirit.” He also requested the congregation to keep Mama Pauline in their prayers and thoughts.
In a light-hearted moment, Dr. Musyoka humorously declared that he would no longer be labeled a “watermelon,” suggesting a revival of his political vision. He noted Kiambu Town’s rapid growth and outlined his plan for a dual carriageway from Muthaiga to Ndumberi.

Addressing the issue of national unity, Wiper Party Leader highlighted that Kenyan athletes at the Olympics are not viewed through tribal lenses. “The tribe issue has been put to bed forever by Gen Z and we must thank them,” he remarked.
DAP-Kenya Party Leader Eugene Wamalwa praised Dr. Musyoka’s previous tenure as Deputy President under the late President Mwai Kibaki, noting their joint efforts in improving Kenya’s economy from negative growth to 7 percent
On the current political climate, Azimio la Umoja Leader asserted that “nobody should sell fear to Kenyans.” He referenced the 2010 Constitution, emphasizing that it enshrines freedoms that cannot be removed.

He criticized recent instances of police brutality and insensitivity towards younger generation, “What are we saying about our national pride when you attack and kill young Kenyans who are armed with a phone, a bottle of water, and the Kenyan flag?” he questioned
The Wiper Party Leader also reinforced that while Azimio remains in the Opposition, coalition political arrangements are here to stay. He rejected the notion of “cannibalizing or swallowing parties” as seen with UDA’s acquisition of ANC, asserting that such actions have no place in Kenya’s multiparty democracy.
Dr. Musyoka was joined by former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, DAP – Kenya Party Leader Eugene Wamalwa, Makueni County Senator Dan Maanzo, and Kitui Central MP Makali Mulu.
