Bamburi Cement Transforms Learning Environment at Kwabulo Secondary School

Bamburi Cement PLC has strengthened its commitment to education and community development after commissioning two new classrooms and a store at Kwabulo Secondary School, alongside donating 80 lockers and chairs to support students’ learning needs.

The facilities were officially inaugurated last Friday by Nyali Member of Parliament, Hon. Mohammed Ali, in an event attended by school leaders, community representatives, and Bamburi Cement officials.

The project comes as a major relief to learners who had previously endured challenging conditions, including studying in temporary tents and sitting on the floor due to limited classroom space and inadequate furniture.

The newly constructed facilities have provided students with a safer, more dignified, and conducive learning environment expected to enhance academic performance, attendance, and overall student well-being.

Speaking during the commissioning, stakeholders praised Bamburi Cement for its continued investment in education, noting that access to quality learning infrastructure plays a vital role in empowering young people and building stronger communities.

The initiative is part of Bamburi Cement’s broader community development programme, which focuses on creating sustainable social impact through investments in education, environmental conservation, and improved livelihoods.

Through its #BamburiCementCares initiative, the company continues to support communities by addressing critical needs and contributing to long-term development across Kenya.
