Police officers in Kasarani Sub-County have arrested two suspected drug traffickers and recovered a large consignment of narcotics and illicit brew during an anti-drug operation in Marurui, Nairobi.
The operation, conducted by officers from Njathaini Police Station, followed intelligence reports targeting suspected drug distribution points within the Marurui Shopping Area.
During the raid, police recovered 1,195 processed rolls and 2,001 grams of unprocessed bhang, alongside 40 litres of illicit brew believed to be part of an illegal supply network.
Authorities also seized materials suspected to have been used in the weighing and packaging of the drugs, further exposing the scale of the alleged trafficking activities.
The two suspects remain in police custody awaiting arraignment in court as investigations continue.
The National Police Service said the operation marks a significant step in efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks and curb the distribution of illicit substances and brews that pose a threat to public safety.
Members of the public have been urged to continue providing law enforcement agencies with actionable information to support efforts aimed at creating safer communities.
