Local consumer goods manufacturer Tropikal Brands Afrika Ltd has entered the natural personal care market with the launch of its ALO brand, a new range of skincare and hygiene products infused with natural ingredients.
With a USD 3 million investment, the company aims to redefine African beauty by offering high-quality, nature-inspired personal care solutions tailored to the modern consumer. The newly introduced ALO product line includes Body Lotions, Shower Gels, Body Sprays, and Roll-Ons, all formulated with premium ingredients.
Speaking at the product launch, Tropikal Brands Afrika Managing Director, Davis Mukuria, said the introduction of ALO personal care products marks a milestone in the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable and effective skincare solutions.

As part of its strategy to promote Kenya’s local agricultural value chain, Tropikal Brands Afrika has incorporated goat milk extracts into some of its body lotions. The company has partnered with over 500 farmers to source natural lactic acid-rich goat milk, known for its exfoliating and skin-nourishing benefits.

The ALO product line also features Aluminum-Free Deodorants, designed to provide 48-hour freshness without compromising skin health.
Tropikal Brands Afrika, Head of Commercial, Simon Kabue, highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting local farmers and job creation.

According to Statista, Kenya’s personal care market is projected to reach USD 1.29 billion in 2025, with an estimated annual growth rate of 4.90 percent (CAGR 2025-2030). This surge is driven by increasing consumer awareness of health, sustainability, and environmental concerns.
