The prestigious Karen Country Club came alive this weekend as over 100 golfers teed off in the Liberty Kenya-sponsored January Mug golf tournament. A celebration of skill, community, and a 46-year legacy of partnerships, the event brought together golfers from diverse backgrounds for an exciting day of competition and camaraderie.

Among the day’s standout performances, Wade Kilburn emerged as the Gross Winner with an impressive score of 78 Gross. Tyler Belyon claimed the Junior Winner title with 72 Nett, while Henry Maina triumphed in the Senior Winner category with a remarkable 70 Nett. Liberty Life Managing Director Nkoregamba Mwebesa shone as the Staff Winner, finishing with a solid 76 Nett.

The Liberty Kenya team was well represented on the greens, with notable performances from People and Culture GM Felix Ochieng, GM Finance Luke Magambo, and Financial Advisor Nelson Ndegwa. Their participation underscored the organization’s commitment to teamwork and community engagement.

The tournament also celebrated a longstanding partnership between Heritage Insurance and Karen Country Club. For 46 years, this collaboration has highlighted shared values of fostering excellence and building strong community ties. Speaking at the event, Liberty Kenya CEO Kieran Godden remarked, “The January Mug is a celebration of excellence and camaraderie.
