In a remarkable collaboration between NCBA Bank Kenya PLC and Visa, three NCBA Visa cardholders have won an unforgettable trip to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The winners, Edwin Muriithi, Barbara Chesire, and Pius Ngugi, along with their companions, will support Team Kenya in the prestigious event, courtesy of Visa.
The winners were selected from a pool of over 40,000 NCBA Visa cardholders who qualified for the draw by making transactions of Kes. 3,000 and above using their NCBA Visa cards at various points of sale.
Barbara Chesire, Co-Founder and Managing Director of AB Entheos LTD, a long-time NCBA customer, was one of the fortunate winners. Originally planning a trip to Naivasha, she quickly pivoted to an international girls’ trip with her friend Nicole upon receiving the exciting news. “Going to Paris was on my bucket list, and now NCBA and Visa have made it happen sooner than expected. I have been banking with NCBA for more than 10 years, and for this, I am incredibly grateful,” said Barbara, a native of Eldoret, the City of Champions.
Edwin Muriithi, an interior designer and architect, initially thought the call informing him of his win was a hoax. It was only after his wife Mary confirmed its legitimacy that the reality set in. An avid sports lover and former rugby player, Edwin was thrilled to check this experience off his bucket list. The trip is particularly meaningful for Mary, who recently acquired her passport and has never traveled abroad.

Pius Ngugi, a software engineer from Meru, is eager to experience Paris for the first time with his wife. With a busy work life, this trip offers a much-needed break and an opportunity for the couple to bond. Although they cannot take their children, the kids have been helping Pius prepare by teaching him basic French phrases.
