TECNO Unveils 0mm Bezelless Concept Phone at IFA ShowStoppers 2026

TECNO has unveiled its Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone at IFA ShowStoppers 2026 in Berlin, showcasing a smartphone design that eliminates the visible black border around the display to achieve what the company describes as an industry-first 0mm display border.

The concept device formed part of a broader TECNO showcase featuring smartphones and laptops aimed at work, learning, content creation and entertainment.

A New Approach to Borderless Displays

The Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone removes the physical black edges normally visible between a smartphone’s active display and outer frame.

TECNO said the design addresses the final one to two millimetres that remain on many smartphones with narrow bezels, creating a display that appears to extend directly to the edges of the device.

The company achieved the effect through changes to the phone’s display architecture, including advanced internal stacking, structural engineering and screen-packaging techniques.

The resulting design is intended to provide a more immersive viewing experience for activities such as video streaming, gaming, photography and everyday browsing.

However, the bezelless phone remains a concept and is not currently available for purchase. TECNO has not confirmed a launch date or market for the device.

The technologies developed for the concept, including innovations involving camera integration, touch sensitivity, sound, structural design and user-interface interaction, could inform future generations of TECNO products.

Flexible Computing Takes Centre Stage

Alongside the concept smartphone, TECNO showcased the MEGABOOK T15 360 Series, its first laptop range featuring a 360-degree hinge and touchscreen support.

The series comprises the MEGABOOK T15 360 and MEGABOOK T15 360 Pro, which can be used in Laptop, Tablet, Tent and Stand modes.

Both models feature 15.6-inch touchscreens with 10-point multi-touch control and optional MPP 2.0 active-pen support.

The standard model comes with a Full HD 60Hz display, while the Pro version features a 2.5K 120Hz screen with 100 percent sRGB colour coverage.

Configurations can include up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, LPDDR5X memory and PCIe SSD storage. Both models also feature a 70Wh battery and a 65W PD GaN charger.

The laptops support up to Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, while TECNO OneLeap enables cross-device collaboration between compatible smartphones, tablets and PCs.

The MEGABOOK T15 360 Series is scheduled to launch in Europe during the fourth quarter of 2026, with availability in other markets subject to local confirmation.

More Options for Work and Study

TECNO also presented the MEGABOOK K15S WCL, designed for students and early-career professionals. The laptop combines Intel’s Wildcat Lake platform with a 16:10 display, an all-metal design, a 70Wh battery and 65W GaN fast charging.

For users seeking a larger display and greater processing capacity, the 17.3-inch MEGABOOK T17 Ultra offers configurations with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and LPDDR5X memory.

It features a 99.99Wh battery and 100W GaN PD fast charging, targeting productivity, creative work, moderate gaming and entertainment.

New Smartphones Complete the Showcase

TECNO’s smartphone lineup at the event also included the POVA 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition and CAMON Slim 5G.

The POVA 8 Pro 5G combines Tonino Lamborghini design elements with a dual-chipset architecture featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G platform and TECNO’s P1 Graphic Chip. It also incorporates a 5K IceShield Vapor Chamber Cooling System.

Meanwhile, the CAMON Slim 5G measures 6.39mm thick and combines a slim design with imaging capabilities, AI features and multiple colour options.

Implications for Kenyan Consumers

TECNO operates across more than 70 markets, including Kenya, where smartphones and laptops are increasingly used for work, education, content creation and entertainment.

However, the company has not confirmed Kenya-specific pricing, availability or launch timelines for the devices featured at IFA ShowStoppers 2026.

Consumers are therefore advised to await official announcements from TECNO Kenya before treating the showcased products as available for purchase in the local market.
