Samsung is taking its connected-home vision beyond individual gadgets and into Kenyan shopping malls, giving consumers an opportunity to experience how smartphones, TVs, wearables and AI-enabled appliances can work together as one ecosystem.
The Samsung Connected Living Experience will allow consumers to move through simulated home environments and see how technology can simplify everyday routines, with the activations scheduled for three Nairobi malls between August and October.
The experience will debut at The Junction Mall from August 28 to 30, before moving to The Galleria Mall from September 4 to 6, and later Sarit Mall from October 2 to 4, 2026.
Rather than presenting devices as standalone products, Samsung is using the activations to demonstrate how its ecosystem, powered by SmartThings, can connect different parts of the home.
Consumers will be taken through key areas including the living room, kitchen and laundry room. The demonstrations will show how connected technology can enhance entertainment, appliance management and laundry routines while giving users greater visibility and control.
At the centre of the experience is SmartThings, Samsung’s platform for connecting and managing compatible devices. Features such as 3D Map View, Quick Remote, remote appliance control, Laundry Recipe, Auto Diagnostics and AI Energy Mode will demonstrate how connected technology can help consumers monitor appliances, manage routines and understand energy consumption.
The campaign also introduces a retail element, particularly at the Junction Mall activation, where consumers will have access to discounts and promotional offers across Samsung products.
Azone Outlet will offer discounts of up to 60% on selected Samsung home appliances, while Carrefour will offer up to 25% off selected home appliances.
At Quick Plug, shoppers can receive up to 10% off Samsung mobile purchases, alongside selected bundled offers that include free power banks and adapters.
Consumers visiting Azone will also have an opportunity to participate in giveaways and the Spin the Wheel experience.
Samsung’s approach reflects a broader shift in the consumer electronics market, where the value of devices is increasingly tied not only to their individual capabilities but also to how effectively they communicate and work together.
For Kenyan consumers, the mall activations provide an opportunity to experience this interconnected approach before making purchasing decisions, particularly as smart appliances and connected devices become more common in homes.
Through the Connected Living Experience, Samsung is positioning the smart home not simply as a collection of connected gadgets, but as an ecosystem designed around convenience, automation and greater control of everyday life.
Consumers can visit the three participating malls during the scheduled activations to experience Samsung’s connected ecosystem and explore the latest Galaxy devices, TVs and AI-enabled home appliances.
