Safaricom has launched a series of stakeholder engagement forums in the Nyanza and Western regions, aimed at celebrating and strengthening relationships with its key partners. This initiative is part of the ongoing Sambaza Furaha campaign, which seeks to spread festive cheer and highlight Safaricom’s commitment to transforming lives through technology and innovation.
The forums target a broad spectrum of Safaricom’s stakeholders, including the business community, M-PESA agents, and dealers from the Greater Western region. The company is using these platforms to gather feedback, refine its services, and celebrate 24 years of impactful operations in Kenya.
“These engagements underscore the critical role our stakeholders have played in supporting our vision as a company, transforming lives by connecting people to each other, to knowledge, and to opportunities through technology and innovation,” said Gunilla Ouko, Regional Business Lead at Safaricom.
The forums have provided an opportunity for stakeholders to share their experiences and success stories. One of the attendees, Mrs. Everlyne Murunga, a dealer with 17 years of experience working with Safaricom, expressed her appreciation for the initiative.
“Forums like these make us feel appreciated, recognized, and part of the Safaricom family. Through this partnership, I have created employment opportunities for many people. It’s been an amazing journey,” said Mrs. Murunga.
Safaricom’s engagements include a series of events such as the Dealers Forum, the Grow with Safaricom Business Forum for SMEs, media roundtables, and direct customer interactions through a road caravan
The road caravan, a key highlight of the campaign, is currently traversing the Greater Western region after successful tours of the Mt. Kenya and Rift Valley regions. The caravan is scheduled to visit Nairobi next week before heading to the Coast.

These initiatives aim to empower communities and enhance their well-being.

The forums provide a platform for shared success and reaffirm Safaricom’s role as a key driver of economic and social change in Kenya.
