Oreo and Coca-Cola team up to launch limited edition sandwich cookies in Kenya

Mondelēz International, the parent company of Oreo, has announced a unique collaboration with Coca-Cola to launch the exclusive Oreo x Coca-Cola Sandwich Cookie.

This limited-edition product is designed to celebrate friendship, marking a joint campaign between two of the world’s most recognizable brands.

The Oreo x Coca-Cola Sandwich Cookie, which combines the classic chocolate base of Oreo with the distinctive flavor of Coca-Cola, will be available in the Kenyan market from September 2024 to February 2025. This special release is part of a broader initiative celebrating the theme of “besties” across the country.

“We are excited to bring this unique collaboration to Kenya,” stated Francis Kathoka, Country Manager for Mondelez International in Kenya. “The Oreo x Coca-Cola Sandwich cookie embodies the essence of friendship, and we will be engaging fans with delicious cookies and interactive digital experiences.”

The cookie features the iconic logos of both brands embossed on its surface, filled with a smooth white crème and enhanced with red edible glitter, creating a visually appealing treat that reflects the playful spirit of the partnership.

In addition to the product launch, Oreo is introducing the ‘Bestie Mode Digital Experience’ in collaboration with Spotify. This interactive platform allows users to merge their music tastes with friends by scanning a QR code on the cookie packaging. Participants can easily enter their details and create curated playlists, enhancing their experience of friendship through music.

The limited-edition Oreo x Coca-Cola Sandwich Cookie will be available at leading supermarkets throughout Kenya, making it easily accessible for fans eager to try this new offering.

This collaboration not only showcases the innovative spirit of both brands but also highlights their commitment to creating enjoyable experiences for consumers. The campaign promises to engage customers through a mix of culinary delight and interactive digital experiences, celebrating the bonds of friendship in a unique way.
