NCBA Pro Team golfer and Brand Ambassador Njoroge Kibugu delivered a strong performance at the inaugural Rwanda Open, finishing the tournament five-under par with a total score of 285 in Kigali.
Kibugu was part of a 15-player Kenyan contingent competing against a field of 156 golfers, including some of Africa’s leading professionals. He opened the tournament with a level-par 72 before finding his rhythm in the second round with an impressive four-under 68, securing his place beyond the cut.
He maintained his momentum in the third round, carding another 68 to climb further up the leaderboard and demonstrate the consistency and resilience required to compete at the regional professional level.
His final score of 285 reflected a determined campaign and provided valuable experience against strong continental competition. The tournament also offered East African golfers an opportunity to test their skills on a larger stage while building experience and pursuing professional ambitions.
