NCBA Bank has officially launched the third cohort of its flagship Go-Getter Internship Programme, a 12-month initiative designed to empower recent graduates with practical skills, industry knowledge, and mentorship to help them succeed in the corporate world.
The 2025 edition of the programme will host 50 graduates, providing them with hands-on experience across the bank’s operations. Top-performing interns will also be considered for future employment through NCBA’s talent pipeline.
Speaking during the launch, NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora emphasized the bank’s commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable talent development.
“The Go-Getter Internship Programme reflects our belief that the future of our economy lies in the potential of our youth. By providing hands-on experience and strategic mentorship, we are building a workforce that is ready to lead and innovate the next generation,” Gachora said.

Now in its third year, the programme aligns with NCBA’s Change the Story sustainability platform under the Youth Mentorship and Coaching pillar. Interns benefit from exposure to banking operations, coaching from seasoned professionals, and tailored training designed to support long-term career growth.
To qualify for the programme, applicants must have graduated within the past 12 months, achieved a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division in their undergraduate degree, and scored at least a B- in both Mathematics and English in their KCSE exams. Applications are typically submitted via NCBA’s official website.
NCBA’s Group Director for HR and Culture, Monicah Kihia, underscored the bank’s focus on building a high-performance culture among young professionals.
“At NCBA, we believe in investing in the next generation of professionals by providing them with a platform to learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions to the industry,” said Kihia.
As the new cohort embarks on their internship journey, NCBA reiterated its commitment to creating an inclusive and empowering work environment for young talent and future leaders.
