NCBA Bank is expanding its wealth management advisory services beyond Nairobi, bringing financial planning expertise closer to customers in regional markets as the need to build, preserve and transfer wealth gains importance.
The bank brought its Meet, Mingle & Money Talks series to Nanyuki on October 13, 2026, where more than 100 Emerging Affluent and High Networth customers met financial specialists to discuss investment planning, wealth preservation, succession and financial resilience.
Through NCBA Wealth Solutions, the lender provides investment planning, insurance, property finance, income replacement and portfolio diversification solutions designed to support customers at different stages of their financial journeys.
NCBA Group Director of Retail Banking Dennis Njau said banking relationships should extend beyond routine transactions as customers’ financial needs become more complex with growing incomes, businesses and investments.
“Financial success is not simply about earning a good income. Building lasting wealth requires discipline, planning and informed decisions,” Njau said.
He noted that customers need to consider how to invest accumulated wealth, protect assets against unexpected events and prepare for transferring their wealth to future generations.
The Nanyuki engagement explored how customers can align investment decisions with their financial goals, risk appetite and investment timelines. Discussions covered structured portfolio advisory, property finance, income-generating assets and diversification.
Njau said a balanced wealth strategy should address immediate financial needs while supporting long-term objectives, including retirement and legacy planning.
“Liquidity gives customers access to funds for immediate needs, while income-generating assets can provide a steady flow of income and long-term investments can create value over time,” he said.
The bank also highlighted wealth preservation as an important consideration for individuals and families seeking to protect assets accumulated over years of work and investment.
According to Njau, customers should assess potential risks and consider measures that can prevent unexpected events from undermining their financial progress.
Succession and estate planning also featured prominently during the discussions, with the bank encouraging customers to begin preparing for the management and transfer of assets before such decisions become urgent.
Njau said early conversations and clear estate plans could help families understand how wealth should be managed and distributed, reducing uncertainty during intergenerational transfers.
“It is never too early to start thinking about how your assets will be managed, protected and transferred,” he said.
He added that planning ahead could provide families with greater clarity and help ensure wealth accumulated through years of hard work continues to benefit future generations.
The expansion of the Meet, Mingle & Money Talks series reflects NCBA’s broader strategy to make financial expertise and advisory services more accessible across Kenya. The bank’s branch network has surpassed 100 outlets nationally, supporting its ambition to serve customers in different regions.
Taking the engagement beyond Nairobi also allows the lender to understand the financial priorities and aspirations of customers in regional markets while connecting them with specialist advice closer to home.
NCBA said the series would continue to provide opportunities for customers to engage directly with its financial specialists, ask questions and obtain practical insights into investment decisions and long-term financial planning.
The initiative aligns with the bank’s purpose, “Banking on Belief: Empowering Ambitions”, which it says guides its approach to helping customers achieve their financial goals.
