Naivas Supermarket Kenya’s leading retail chain, has launched a symbolic heritage caravan to commemorate its 35th anniversary, a heartfelt homecoming journey retracing its roots back to Nakuru, where the iconic Kenyan brand was born.
Flagged off from the Naivas Head Office in Nairobi by the company’s newly appointed CEO, Mr. Andreas von Paleske, the caravan will make key stops in Tilisi and Naivasha before culminating in a grand celebration in Nakuru on October 15, 2025, at the Sarova Woodlands Lawns.
The convoy, featuring branded trucks and colourful displays is accompanied by key partners including LG Electronics, Tropical Heat, Pepsi, and Standard Group. Along the route, communities will enjoy entertainment, giveaways, and product activations, turning the journey into a vibrant celebration of Kenya’s shared heritage, unity, and community spirit.
“For Naivas, Nakuru is more than a location. It is our birthplace, the cradle of our story,” said Mr. von Paleske. “This homecoming allows us to stand side-by-side with our most valued partners and connect directly with the communities that have been the foundation of our success.”
Outgoing CEO David Kimani described the initiative as a tribute to the company’s journey and values.
“Naivas has always stood for more than retail; it stands for family, community, and trust. Returning to Nakuru is a homecoming of gratitude, a way to honour where we came from and those who’ve walked with us every step of the way.”
The Naivas Heritage Caravan serves as both a nostalgic reflection and a forward-looking celebration, highlighting the supermarket’s evolution from a small family business in Nakuru to a national retail powerhouse.
As the caravan rolls into its birthplace, Naivas reaffirms its commitment to its enduring promise “To make your everyday shopping experience memorable, rewarding, and proudly Kenyan.”
