Mystery in Kiambu as body of a woman found on Kamutaro in Ruaka-Banana Road

A murder investigation is underway in Kiambu County after the lifeless body of a woman was discovered early this morning in the Kamutaro area along the Ruaka-Banana road near rental houses.

The victim, identified as Jackline Nyambura Mungai, 28, was found by members of the public who promptly alerted the police. Officers from Karuri Police Station visited the scene at approximately 7:00 a.m.

According to preliminary reports, Jackline had been residing in a rental house in Kamutaro with her partner, Nashon Kuria Wanjiru, 44, for the past four years. Their home is located about 200 meters from where her body was discovered.

The victim was found half-naked with her head tightly bound using a blue T-shirt that blocked her mouth. Police confirmed there were no visible injuries on her body, leaving the circumstances of her death shrouded in mystery.

Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) from Kiambu processed the scene before the body was transported to Kihara Level IV Hospital, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kiambaa has taken over the case, which remains under investigation. Authorities are yet to determine what transpired or identify any suspects involved.

Police have urged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward as they intensify efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of Jackline Nyambura Mungai.
