Family Bank has announced a KES 2 million sponsorship for the Administration Police Service (A.P.S) Bomet FC, marking a significant partnership to bolster the team’s debut in the Kenya Premier League.

The collaboration reflects a vision of promoting athletic talent and fostering social unity through sports. A.P.S Bomet FC, recently promoted to the top tier of Kenyan football, commands a strong community following with over 35,000 fans and a 15,000-seat home stadium in Bomet.

The sponsorship will enhance the team’s preparations as they gear up to compete against the country’s elite football clubs.

The partnership was unveiled at a high-profile ceremony attended by senior officials, including Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, CBS, OGW, SS, and Family Bank’s Chief Retail Officer, Phyllis Kimani.

Masengeli praised Family Bank for its dedication to supporting the Administration Police and local communities through sports.“This sponsorship is the start of a transformative journey. In line with our motto, Uaminifu na Haki (Integrity and Justice), we are committed to working closely with Family Bank to uplift the lives of our officers and their communities,” Masengeli said.

He added that the partnership would extend beyond football to include financial literacy programs for APS officers and their families. Family Bank CEO Nancy Njau highlighted the bank’s commitment to driving social change through sports.

“We are proud to support A.P.S Bomet FC, a team that inspires youth and strengthens community bonds. Football has the power to unite and transform lives, and this partnership reflects our shared values with the Administration Police Service,” Njau stated.

The sponsorship builds on Family Bank’s longstanding support for Kenya’s uniformed services. Through its social investment arm, the Family Group Foundation, the bank has empowered communities, notably through a partnership with the Military Wives Association of Kenya (MWAK), which has equipped over 200 children of service members with technical and entrepreneurial skills.

The event, attended by A.P.S Bomet FC leadership and Family Bank’s Retail Division, underscored the significance of this collaboration as the team prepares for a competitive season in the Kenya Premier League.
