Family Bank has expanded its branch network to 98 with the opening of a new outlet at Beacon Mall in Upper Hill, Nairobi, as the lender strengthens its presence in key commercial centres across the country.
The new branch is strategically positioned to serve Upper Hill’s growing business community, including corporates, professional services firms, institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and individual customers.
The expansion is part of Family Bank’s five-year 2025–2029 strategy, which focuses on sustainable growth, stability, profitability, operational excellence, digitisation, and enhanced customer experience.
Family Bank Chief Executive Officer Nancy Njau said the opening demonstrates the lender’s continued investment in strategic markets while bringing banking services closer to customers.
“Our 2025–2029 strategy is anchored on sustainable growth, stability, and profitability, with strategic expansion playing an important role in delivering on this ambition,” Njau said.
She added that the bank’s expansion goes beyond increasing its physical presence, noting that Family Bank is also strengthening its customer propositions, digital solutions and operational capabilities.
The Upper Hill branch is expected to enhance access to banking services for businesses and residents operating within one of Nairobi’s major commercial and business districts.
The lender is also continuing to invest in digital capabilities, infrastructure, and its workforce as part of its broader transformation agenda.
According to the bank, these investments are aimed at improving operational efficiency, increasing customer convenience, and delivering more seamless banking experiences across its physical and digital channels.
The opening of the 98th branch comes as Family Bank continues to pursue growth while balancing physical branch expansion with increased adoption of digital banking services.
The lender’s latest expansion underscores its strategy of maintaining a physical presence in strategic business locations while using technology to improve how customers access and interact with its services.
