CFAO Mobility Kenya consolidates operations following DT Dobie integration

1 Mins read

CFAO Mobility Kenya Limited has completed the integration of DT Dobie & Company Kenya Ltd into its operations, streamlining its automotive business in the country and strengthening its market offering.

Internal restructuring completed

As of March 31, 2023, CFAO Group’s Kenyan operations comprised three entities — CFAO Mobility Kenya (formerly CFAO Motors Kenya), DT Dobie, and LOXEA Kenya. Effective April 1, 2023, an internal restructuring was finalised, with DT Dobie officially transferring its business assets to CFAO Mobility Kenya.

The consolidation marked the unification of two of Kenya’s most prominent and respected automotive players, combining decades of expertise under one umbrella.

Expanded portfolio and market reach

With the successful acquisition of DT Dobie’s assets, CFAO Mobility Kenya has broadened its portfolio to include globally recognised automotive brands previously sold and serviced by DT Dobie.

Today, the company is the official distributor of 12 automotive brands, offering more than 21 vehicle models. Its extensive dealer network includes over 40 service centres, authorised dealers, and company-owned branches across the country.

DT Dobie placed under liquidation

As part of legal requirements, DT Dobie & Company Kenya Ltd has appointed a liquidator to oversee the winding down of the company. This step ensures due process is followed in the transition of operations and obligations.

Enhanced value for customers

For customers, the transition translates into greater convenience, consistency, and access to a wider range of mobility solutions, all under one trusted brand name.
