Bolt boosts women’s wealth: Wellness workshop ignites breast cancer awareness

1 Mins read

Bolt, the popular ride-hailing service, hosted a wellness workshop tailored for its female drivers. Aimed at promoting breast cancer awareness and overall health, the workshop offered drivers an opportunity to learn about the importance of early detection and proactive health management.

This initiative reflects Bolt’s commitment to supporting the well-being of its drivers, with a special focus on fostering a supportive and informed community of women drivers.

The workshop featured interactive sessions led by healthcare experts, providing essential information on breast cancer prevention, the importance of regular screenings, recognizing early symptoms, and available treatment options. The event also provided participants with complimentary health assessments, including a triage service and private consultations with medical personnel, allowing drivers to discuss individual health concerns and receive personalized advice.

“Supporting drivers extends beyond their roles on the platform; it also includes ensuring they have the resources and knowledge to look after their health and well-being,” said Linda Ndungu, General Manager of Bolt Kenya. “This workshop underscores Bolt’s commitment to driver wellness, equipping our women drivers with the tools to prioritize their health and inspire others to do the same.”

The event received positive feedback from participants, including Bolt driver Farida Khamis, who expressed gratitude for Bolt’s focus on health. “I’m truly grateful for this initiative. It’s reassuring to know Bolt cares about our health, and being able to learn more about breast cancer and overall wellness has given me confidence to take proactive steps for my well-being,” she shared.

By creating a platform for education, support, and community, Bolt aims to empower its women drivers to embrace a balanced lifestyle and become advocates for health within their communities.

This initiative marks another step in Bolt’s ongoing commitment to driver well-being, as the company plans to introduce further programs that promote safety, health, and empowerment for drivers across Kenya.
