NCBA Asset Finance Helps Kenyans Turn Dreams into Reality

2 Mins read

For many Kenyans, owning a reliable vehicle or acquiring the right equipment is more than a personal achievement. It is an investment that can transform livelihoods, create business opportunities and make everyday responsibilities easier.

A family seeking dependable transport, a small business owner hoping to expand deliveries or a farmer looking to improve production all depend on access to the right assets. However, the high cost of purchasing vehicles and machinery often makes these ambitions difficult to achieve without financial support.

NCBA Bank is seeking to bridge this gap through its asset finance solutions, which enable individuals and businesses to acquire vehicles, equipment and other productive assets without paying the full purchase price upfront.

The bank, which positions itself as Kenya’s Asset Finance Leader, has introduced financing options designed to make asset ownership more accessible through flexible repayment arrangements and digital services.

According to NCBA, customers can receive conditional approval in as little as 15 seconds, while offer letters take an average of 1.4 days to process. The bank says this is faster than the industry average, allowing customers to pursue opportunities without lengthy financing procedures.

Through its CarDuka digital platform, customers can also browse vehicles, participate in auctions, check vehicle valuations, find spare parts and service centres, and apply for financing and insurance.

The platform brings several services together, reducing the need for customers to navigate multiple processes when searching for and purchasing vehicles.

NCBA offers financing of up to 90 per cent for eligible vehicles, with repayment periods extending to 60 months for selected assets. Some partnership arrangements also provide repayment holidays, helping borrowers manage their finances as they begin using their newly acquired assets.

For vehicle owners facing unexpected financial demands, the bank offers logbook loans that allow individuals and businesses to access money using privately or commercially owned vehicles without existing finance as security.

Customers can borrow a minimum of KES100,000, with feedback often provided within 12 hours, according to the bank. This allows vehicle owners to unlock funds for emergencies, business expansion or other financial needs without necessarily selling assets they depend on.

The solutions serve customers across different sectors of the economy. Salaried professionals can finance family vehicles, while entrepreneurs and transport operators can acquire pickups, trucks and commercial vehicles to increase their capacity.

Farmers and agribusiness operators can also access tractors and machinery to improve efficiency, expand operations and support agricultural production.

NCBA has further strengthened its asset finance offering through partnerships with vehicle dealers and manufacturers, providing financing arrangements, competitive rates and insurance options through NCBA Insurance Agency.

The bank also provides Insurance Premium Financing, enabling customers to spread the cost of comprehensive insurance cover rather than paying the entire amount at once.

Its recognition as a preferred asset finance bank at the Transport and Logistics Excellence Awards has reinforced its position in the market.

Ultimately, behind these financing solutions are Kenyans seeking better opportunities. From a trader expanding deliveries to a farmer investing in machinery, access to productive assets can change how people work, earn and plan for the future.

Through digital platforms, faster approvals and flexible financing, NCBA aims to make these investments more achievable, helping individuals and businesses keep moving forward.
