NCBA has kicked off the 2026 Johari Awards, recognising key partners driving growth across Kenya’s asset finance and insurance ecosystem as the bank strengthens its position as “The Home of Asset Finance.”
Established in 2006, the Johari Awards is NCBA’s premier annual recognition platform for high-performing partners, including new and pre-owned motor vehicle dealers, insurance brokers, insurance premium financing partners and leasing agents.
The awards programme is designed to deepen relationships with intermediaries while supporting NCBA’s wider ambition to expand its asset finance business through strong partnerships, responsive solutions and improved customer experience.
The 2026 edition is being taken across the country through a regional tour covering the Coast, Western, Rift Valley and Mt. Kenya regions before culminating in Nairobi.
The tour has already covered Mombasa on September 25, Kisii on September 30 and Kisumu on October 2. Upcoming engagements are scheduled for Eldoret on October 9, Nakuru on October 16, Nyeri or Karatina on October 28, Meru on October 30 and Thika on November 6.
The programme will conclude with a grand finale in Nairobi on December 4.
NCBA said the regional approach reflects its grassroots presence and commitment to supporting businesses according to the needs and economic strengths of different markets.
Through asset finance, the bank supports MSMEs, commercial fleet operators and transport owners seeking to acquire vehicles and other productive assets to expand their operations.
The initiative also places attention on the role played by dealers, insurance brokers and other intermediaries in supporting economic activity. In markets such as Eldoret, Kisumu and Mombasa, these partners serve businesses operating across sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, transport and fishing.
The 2026 programme will also highlight emerging opportunities around green mobility, including the role of asset finance in supporting businesses adopting electric vehicles and other sustainable transport solutions.
NCBA is further supporting a tree-planting initiative involving local dealers, with a target of planting 20,000 trees across Kenya, linking its partner engagement to environmental action.
The Johari Awards also reflect NCBA’s purpose of “Banking on Belief, Empowering Ambitions”, positioning the bank as a financial partner that supports entrepreneurs beyond conventional lending.
By recognising the contribution of its partners, NCBA aims to strengthen the networks that connect customers to financing, insurance and productive assets while creating opportunities for businesses to scale.
The awards programme therefore combines recognition with broader business engagement, bringing together the intermediaries and enterprises that contribute to the growth of Kenya’s asset finance market.
