Safaricom has strengthened its digital services offering through its “Pata More” campaign, encouraging customers to access enhanced data bundles and a wide range of mobile, financial and connectivity services via My OneApp.
At the centre of the campaign is My OneApp, which combines M-PESA and mySafaricom into a single platform, enabling customers to manage communication, payments, internet services and customer support from one application. The platform also provides zero-rated access, allowing users to access its services without consuming their data bundles once mobile data is enabled for SIM detection.
Enhanced data value
Safaricom is offering customers more value on selected daily and monthly data packages through the campaign.
Customers can purchase a KES 20 daily bundle that now provides 250MB, up from 150MB, valid for 24 hours. The KES 99 daily bundle has also been enhanced to 1.5GB, up from 1GB, for 24 hours.
For heavier data users, the company has introduced a KES 1,000 monthly package offering 21GB valid for 30 days.
The bundles are available through My OneApp or by dialling *544# or *555#, giving subscribers convenient access to additional data while supporting the campaign’s message of giving customers the freedom to enjoy their favourite online activities without worrying about data.
My OneApp as a digital hub
Safaricom says My OneApp brings together its key digital services into one platform, simplifying how customers interact with the company’s products.
Through the application, users can send money, make Lipa na M-PESA payments, check account balances, access M-PESA statements, manage Pochi Wallet, make international transfers and global payments, check Fuliza balances and use Bill Manager and Cost Calculator services.
The application also allows customers to purchase airtime, buy bundles, access Tunukiwa offers, create personalised bundles, purchase roaming and entertainment bundles, send airtime through Sambaza and manage home internet accounts.
Customers can also redeem and transfer Bonga Points, manage service and M-PESA PINs, obtain PUK numbers, report fraud, manage subscriptions and access customer support.
Additionally, users can access financial solutions including ZiiDi, M-Shwari, KCB M-PESA, Tuunza Mapato and M-PESA Ratiba directly from the platform.
Supporting businesses and connectivity
Beyond consumer services, the campaign extends to entrepreneurs and businesses through Pochi la Biashara and M-PESA Business Till.
Pochi la Biashara enables startups and SMEs to separate business and personal finances while accessing savings and investment through ZiiDi Pochi, purchasing data bundles, accessing Tuunza Mapato insurance and earning additional income by selling airtime.
Businesses can also access M-PESA Business Till for QR code payments, Fuliza Biashara loans, investment and savings through ZiiDi Biashara, customer support and instant airtime commissions.
Safaricom has also highlighted its fibre internet solutions under the campaign. Secure Fibre for Business, priced at KES 3,499, offers built-in security, speeds of up to 40Mbps, 99.9 per cent uptime reliability and dedicated customer care.
Meanwhile, the Home Fibre Family Share package at KES 3,299 provides faster internet speeds, shared data or minutes for up to five people, free installation and 24/7 customer support.
