AURA, a technology platform focused on making emergency response services more accessible and affordable, has partnered with Glovo Kenya to strengthen safety and emergency support for independent riders operating on the platform.
The partnership will provide Glovo’s rider network in Nairobi and other parts of Kenya with access to AURA’s integrated emergency response platform, offering real-time monitoring, faster assistance, and transparent incident management.
Digital system to improve emergency tracking and response
Through AURA’s platform, rider safety incidents will be digitally recorded, timestamped, and tracked throughout the response process.
Glovo’s operations team will have visibility into the entire emergency lifecycle, from the moment a rider raises an alert to dispatch, arrival, and incident resolution.
The system replaces manual and fragmented emergency processes with a data-driven approach that enhances accountability and operational efficiency.
Riders to access security, medical and roadside assistance
The partnership will enable Glovo riders to receive rapid support across various emergency categories, including security incidents, medical emergencies, and roadside assistance.
AURA’s technology platform connects riders to verified emergency response services, ensuring appropriate support is provided based on the nature of each incident.
The initiative marks a shift in how technology companies in Kenya are addressing road safety by adopting real-time emergency response solutions.
AURA: Building transparent emergency response systems
AURA Kenya Country Manager Victor Odera said modern cities require reliable emergency systems that can provide immediate and verifiable assistance.
“Especially in complex urban environments like Nairobi, emergency response systems cannot be left to fragmented or ineffective systems. AURA’s partnership with Glovo brings full transparency to emergency response for the first time — ensuring every incident is visible, every response is trackable, and every rider has access to rapid, verified support when they need it most,” Odera said.
Glovo strengthens commitment to rider wellbeing
Glovo Kenya Operations Manager Liz Wambua said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to improving safety and welfare for riders using its platform.
She noted that providing riders with reliable emergency support allows them to operate with greater confidence while navigating everyday road risks.
“Through our partnership with AURA, we are empowering the independent riders who use our platform with robust safety and health protections. Knowing that they are securely covered against unexpected road risks, from breakdowns to emergency response, gives them the peace of mind to focus on what they do best,” Wambua said.
Technology-driven approach to urban safety
The partnership between AURA and Glovo Kenya highlights the growing role of digital solutions in improving safety within Kenya’s rapidly expanding delivery and gig economy sectors.
By combining emergency response technology with real-time data visibility, the initiative aims to create a safer working environment for riders while strengthening trust, accountability, and efficiency in on-demand delivery services.
