Emirates Restores 96pc of Global Network, Reconnecting Travelers Through Dubai

Emirates has announced a near-complete return to its global operations, restoring 96 per cent of its network following a period of disruption, as the airline ramps up connectivity through its Dubai hub.

The carrier has progressively resumed flights across key regions, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, West Asia, the Middle East, the Far East and Australasia, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a major global aviation hub.

Network Recovery and Capacity Expansion

Emirates currently operates flights to 137 destinations across 72 countries, with more than 1,300 weekly departures. This represents approximately 75% of its pre-disruption capacity.

The airline carried 4.7 million passengers between March 1 and April 30, even while operating a reduced schedule—an indication of sustained global travel demand and customer confidence.

Premium Travel Experience Across All Routes

Passengers flying with Emirates continue to enjoy a high-end travel experience both onboard and on the ground.

The airline offers regionally inspired multi-course meals curated by award-winning chefs, complemented by a wide selection of premium beverages. Its acclaimed “ice” inflight entertainment system features over 6,500 channels in nearly 40 languages, including movies, TV shows, music and podcasts.

In addition, Emirates has introduced high-speed onboard internet powered by Starlink, now available on 28 aircraft, enabling passengers to stay connected throughout their journey.

Flexible Travel Options and Enhanced Customer Benefits

To encourage travel, Emirates has rolled out a series of customer-focused initiatives aimed at flexibility and added value:

Flexible bookings: Customers booking from April 2 can enjoy one complimentary date change across all cabin classes. Additionally, fares can be held for up to 24 hours at no extra cost.

Dubai Connect stopovers: Through its Dubai Connect programme, passengers with layovers between six and 26 hours can access complimentary hotel stays at four- or five-star properties, along with transfers, meals and visa support where necessary.

Skywards Members Get Accelerated Tier Upgrades

Frequent flyers enrolled in Emirates Skywards stand to benefit from a limited-time promotion running from May 8 to August 31, 2026.

During this period, members can fast-track their way to higher membership tiers through reduced qualification requirements and Bonus Tier Miles earned on both Emirates and flydubai flights.

Strengthening Regional Connectivity

As part of its network recovery, Emirates continues to maintain strong regional links, including six weekly flights between Tunisia and Dubai. This ensures reliable connectivity for passengers travelling between North Africa and the wider global network.

Reaffirming Dubai’s Role as a Global Hub

With its operations nearing full restoration, Emirates is positioning itself to meet growing global travel demand while reinforcing Dubai’s status as a critical transit and destination hub.

The airline’s latest expansion signals a strong rebound in international aviation, supported by enhanced customer offerings and strategic route restoration.
