Mwenda Foundation sponsors needy students at Angaza Empowerment Graduation
Kahawa West, February 15, 2024 – In a remarkable gesture of philanthropy and commitment to skills development, businessman and philanthropist Mr. Mwenda, the Director of Mwenda Empowerment Foundation, has officially signed a sponsorship deal for 10 needy students at Angaza Empowerment Training Center.
The sponsorship agreement was sealed during Angaza’s graduation ceremony, held at Kahawa West, in the presence of the training center’s director, Cornelius Omwenga. This initiative underscores the foundation’s mission to uplift underprivileged youth by providing them with life-changing opportunities through education and vocational training.
“The future belongs to the skilled,” Mr. Mwenda emphasized during the event. “By empowering young people with practical skills, we are not only transforming individual lives but also driving economic growth and social change.”
The Angaza Empowerment Training Center has been instrumental in equipping students with hands-on expertise in fields such as fashion design, hospitality, ICT, and more. Through the collaboration with Mwenda Empowerment Foundation, more young people now have the chance to access quality training that enhances their employability and entrepreneurial potential.
Director Cornelius Omwenga lauded the partnership, noting that financial constraints often hinder talented individuals from reaching their full potential. “This sponsorship ensures that 10 more students can complete their training and step into the job market with confidence,” he stated.
The graduation ceremony was a celebration of resilience and determination, as dozens of graduates marked the beginning of a new chapter in their careers. With such initiatives, the dream of an empowered and self-reliant youth population continues to take shape, one skill at a time.
For many beneficiaries, this sponsorship is not just about education; it’s a pathway to self-sufficiency, innovation, and a brighter future.
