Showmax hosted an exclusive pre-screening event for its latest original reality series, The Mommy Club NBO, at Aspire Centre Westlands in Nairobi. The evening brought together cast members, production crew, media representatives, and industry stakeholders to celebrate the upcoming premiere of the show’s fifth installment.
Attendees had an opportunity to get an intimate viewing of the first episode of the new series. The screening offered a glimpse into the lives of five dynamic Kenyan mothers: Jackie Matubia, DJ Pierra Makena, Carey Priscilla, Lynne Njihia, and Ofentse Tsipa, as they navigate motherhood, ambition, and the vibrant culture of Nairobi.
Together with the screening was a panel discussion featuring candid conversations with the cast and executive producer Eugene Mbugua. The discussion delved into the show’s themes, including the complexities of modern parenting, personal growth, and the importance of authentic storytelling in reality television.
Executive producer Eugene Mbugua expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase the multifaceted lives of Kenyan mothers. “Our goal was to create a platform where these incredible women could share their stories authentically. We believe that viewers will get inspiration from seeing how the ladies manage hurdles of life through their resilience, while they navigate the challenges, and of course, the joys of motherhood,” he noted.
The Mommy Club NBO is set to premiere on Showmax on May 30, 2025, with new episodes every Friday.
