Safaricom has introduced a Family Share plan that allows Home Fibre customers to share mobile data or voice minutes with up to five family members, combining home internet and mobile connectivity under one package.
Launched on October 26, 2026, the service targets both new and existing Safaricom Home Fibre customers seeking a more convenient way to manage their household connectivity expenses.
The plan combines Home Fibre internet with mobile voice, data and SMS services, allowing families to stay connected whether they are at home or on the move. It also provides customers with a single bill for their home and mobile connectivity services.
“People work, learn, travel, explore and stay connected across different spaces, and they want greater value without added complexity,” said Safaricom Chief Consumer Business Officer Fawzia Ali, adding that the plan forms part of the company’s Pata More initiative.
Ali said the new offering aims to give customers greater value without making it complicated to manage their communication needs.
Safaricom continues to expand its home internet business. The company’s Fibre to the Home (FTTH) service recorded a 27 per cent increase in active customers, while the share of connected homes with active subscriptions rose from 66.8 per cent to 71 per cent.
The Family Share plan builds on previous Home Fibre speed upgrades that Safaricom introduced at no additional cost. By combining home internet with mobile benefits, the company aims to make connectivity expenses easier for households to plan and manage.
Customers can access the service through four package options, starting at Sh3,749 per month. The entry-level Bronze package offers internet speeds of 40 megabits per second (Mbps), alongside 750 voice minutes or 14 gigabytes (GB) of mobile data to share with up to five family members.
The Silver package costs Sh5,100 and provides speeds of 60 Mbps, with 1,000 minutes or 21 GB of data. The Gold package, priced at Sh7,799, offers 150 Mbps, alongside 1,500 minutes or 33 GB of data.
At the higher end, the Diamond package costs Sh13,999 and provides speeds of 500 Mbps, with 1,500 minutes or 33 GB of mobile data.
Customers can purchase Home Fibre or 4G and 5G Wi-Fi packages through the My OneApp, by dialling *400#, or by visiting Safaricom shops and authorised dealers.
The new offering expands Safaricom’s fixed and mobile services by allowing families to combine their home internet and mobile communication needs under one plan.
