Safaricom PLC has brought early festive cheer to over 200 children at the Eldoret Children’s Rescue Centre, Kamukunji, as part of its ongoing Sambaza Furaha campaign, aimed at spreading holiday joy and goodwill across the country.
In a heartwarming event, Safaricom provided a variety of gifts, including food supplies, livestock such as goats and chickens, sanitary products, and other essential items. The children’s smiles lit up the atmosphere, creating a memorable day of celebration.
Safaricom’s Territory Business Lead, Brenda Chesingei, expressed the company’s commitment to giving back to the community during the festive season. “We are delighted to be here at the Eldoret Children’s Rescue Centre to celebrate with the kids in the spirit of Sambaza Furaha. As we mark 24 years of transforming lives, it’s important for us to share the joy and spread blessings. The gratitude and joy on the children’s faces say it all,” said Ms. Chesingei.
David Magut, manager of the Eldoret Children’s Rescue Centre, thanked Safaricom for its generous gesture. “What Safaricom has done for us today is truly a blessing. The children are overjoyed, and while many may be uncertain about how they will celebrate Christmas, we are grateful that we already have a reason to smile,” he shared.
