Four of Kenya’s most visionary business leaders have been named among the 2024 Meaningful Business 100 (MB100), a prestigious global recognition that honors pioneers transforming industries with a focus on social good and sustainable profitability.
The annual MB100 awards highlight leaders who demonstrate how business can be a force for positive change, tackling some of the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges.

Lucy Mutinda, Founder & CEO of Ecocycle, honored for her trailblazing work in waste management. Mutinda’s company, Ecocycle, has introduced innovative eco-friendly solutions that have transformed the waste management industry, significantly reducing environmental impact while creating green jobs.
Camille Rebelo, Co-Founder & COO of EcoPlanet Bamboo. Celebrated for her contributions to sustainable forestry. Rebelo’s efforts have focused on using bamboo as a sustainable alternative to traditional timber, addressing deforestation while enhancing biodiversity and ecological health.
Biju Mohandas, Partner & Global Head of Healthcare at LeapFrog Investments was warded for his role in advancing healthcare access and equity. Mohandas has spearheaded impactful healthcare investments across Africa, increasing access to essential health services for underserved populations and strengthening healthcare systems.
The MB100 recipients were selected from a competitive pool of 850 global nominees by an esteemed panel of judges, including prominent figures such as Adam Elman of Google, Nikhil Seth of the United Nations, and Sarah Geisenheimer of the Rockefeller Foundation. The panel sought leaders who exemplify a commitment to aligning business success with societal impact.
