Smart accessory giant oraimo has hosted its highly anticipated Innovation Gala 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Nairobi, bringing together leading technology distributors, wholesalers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and media stakeholders to showcase its growing footprint as a lifestyle technology brand in East Africa.
The event marked a significant milestone for the company as it unveiled an expanded ecosystem of products designed to move beyond its traditional identity as a mobile accessories manufacturer.
For years, oraimo has been recognised as Africa’s leading brand in True Wireless Stereo (TWS) audio products and smart wearables. However, company executives used the gala to highlight a broader vision aimed at transforming the brand into a comprehensive lifestyle technology provider.
Interactive Experience Zones Highlight Product Diversity
Attendees were treated to immersive experiential zones featuring oraimo’s growing portfolio of products across multiple categories.
The oraimo Power & Audio section showcased the company’s latest ultra-fast charging solutions, premium wireless earbuds, speakers, and sound systems.
The Smart Watch category featured both business-oriented circular smartwatches such as the Watch Nova 2R and fitness-focused square smartwatches equipped with health monitoring and activity tracking capabilities.
In the Personal Care segment, guests explored smart grooming devices including the Smart Zerogap, UltraTrim, and MasterCut Pro trimmers.
The company also highlighted its expanding lifestyle offerings through oraimo Home, a sub-brand that includes household products such as blenders, kitchenware, outdoor folding chairs, and fashion-forward crocs.
Meanwhile, the oraimo Baby line showcased products designed for modern mothers, including advanced breast pumps, feeding bottles, and smart sterilizers.
SpaceBuds 2 Takes Centre Stage
The highlight of the evening was the official physical launch of the oraimo SpaceBuds 2 (OTW-631), the latest addition to the company’s flagship audio lineup.
Building on the success of the popular Space series, the new earbuds feature AI-powered functionality, immersive spatial audio technology, and an advanced 52dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation system designed to deliver premium sound quality.
The earbuds also boast a distinctive “Lunar Eclipse” slide-open design that has attracted international attention, including appearances during Milan Fashion Week.
Grammy-Winning Expertise Enhances Audio Experience
oraimo revealed that the SpaceBuds 2 benefited from professional tuning by Jesse Ray, the Grammy Award-winning mixing engineer known for his work on Burna Boy’s acclaimed album Twice as Tall.
According to the company, the collaboration aims to deliver studio-quality sound with enhanced clarity and depth, providing listeners with a richer audio experience.
AI Features Designed for Everyday Kenyan Consumers
The company emphasised the earbuds’ practical AI-powered capabilities tailored to real-world consumer needs.
Among the standout features is real-time Swahili-English AI translation, which can facilitate communication during business meetings and everyday interactions. The earbuds are also designed to help users navigate noisy environments through advanced noise cancellation technology, whether commuting in matatus, riding boda bodas, or working in busy urban settings.
Strengthening Partnerships Across the Retail Ecosystem
Beyond product innovation, oraimo used the gala to reaffirm its commitment to distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners across Kenya and the wider East African region.
The company said it plans to deepen collaboration through strategic partnerships, technical training programmes, and incentive initiatives aimed at strengthening the regional technology retail ecosystem.
Company Reaffirms Vision for Africa’s Smart Lifestyle Future
Speaking during the event, oraimo Audio CEO Kevin Yuan said the company is focused on redefining how consumers interact with technology by offering integrated solutions across multiple lifestyle categories.
“We are incredibly excited to bring this fully integrated flagship experience to our stakeholders and users across Kenya,” Yuan said. “By expanding our category footprint into smart home, personal care, and maternal technology, we are delivering a smarter, holistic lifestyle ecosystem designed for today’s fast-paced African consumer.”
Products Now Available Across Multiple Retail Channels
Following the launch, the SpaceBuds 2 and other products in oraimo’s expanded ecosystem will be available through oraimo stores and retail partners including Hotpoint, Miniso, Carrefour, China Square, Panda Mart, and China Village outlets across Kenya.
Customers can also purchase products online through oraimo’s official e-commerce platform with doorstep delivery services.
