Naivas Supermarket has marked its 36th anniversary by renewing its commitment to supporting vulnerable children and young people, with this year’s celebrations extending to Mogra Children’s Home.
The retailer’s latest initiative seeks to uplift more than 650 children and young people, ranging from infants to young adults, including children living with disabilities.
Mogra Children’s Home provides a safe and nurturing environment where children can access care, education and opportunities to develop and pursue their dreams.
Naivas said the initiative is part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility programmes aimed at giving back to communities that have supported the retailer’s growth since its establishment.
“As we celebrate our 36th anniversary, we extend our sincere gratitude to our suppliers, Naivas staff, and Friends of Naivas for their generous contributions, both monetary and in kind,” the retailer said.
According to Naivas, the contributions from its stakeholders have played a critical role in making the initiative possible and supporting the needs of the children at the home.
The supermarket chain said its partnership with Mogra Children’s Home reflects its broader commitment to creating opportunities for people who are yet to fully realise their potential.
Through the initiative, Naivas hopes to support Mogra’s mission of ensuring that every child, regardless of their ability or background, has an opportunity to grow up in a safe, caring and supportive environment.
The anniversary initiative also highlights the role of partnerships between businesses, employees, suppliers and communities in addressing social needs and improving the lives of vulnerable groups.
