These collaborations reflect MOI’s commitment to promoting local artistry and creating culturally resonant experiences.
The Museum of Illusions is expected to become a significant landmark for both domestic and international tourism. Hon. Rebecca Miano, E.G.H, Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Tourism, highlighted its importance:
“Tourism is a key driver of our economy, and the Museum of Illusions will attract visitors from across the globe eager to experience its unique offerings. It will also serve as a space for young people, students, and curious minds to explore the wonders of human imagination.”
In addition to boosting local tourism, the museum aims to be a hub for education and cultural engagement, offering schools and students a platform to enhance critical thinking and learning through its interactive exhibits. This aligns with Kenya’s educational goals while fostering economic growth by creating direct and indirect job opportunities.
Founded in 2015 in Zagreb, Croatia, the Museum of Illusions has grown into the world’s largest privately held museum chain, with a mission to provide immersive spaces where science, art, and creativity intersect. Each MOI location features more than 60 exhibits designed to amaze and educate visitors. Nairobi’s addition to this global legacy reflects MOI’s vision of inspiring curiosity and exploration across diverse cultures and communities.
