LOOP Digital Financial Services (LOOP DFS), a subsidiary of NCBA Group, has launched LOOP BIZ+, an integrated merchant platform designed to help Kenyan businesses manage payments, access financing, market products and make smarter inventory decisions from a single system.
The platform, launched in Nairobi on Thursday, October 29, 2026, combines digital payment acceptance, business management tools, an online marketplace and working-capital financing to address operational challenges facing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
LOOP BIZ+ enables merchants to accept payments through point-of-sale (POS) devices, a mobile application and a web portal, reducing the need to operate separate systems for different business functions.
Integrated Payments and Business Management
The platform allows merchants to accept Visa and other card payments, near-field communication (NFC) contactless payments, mobile money and LOOP transactions through a single POS device.
The same payment capabilities are available through the LOOP BIZ mobile application and web portal, enabling businesses to serve customers using different payment methods, whether operating from physical premises or online.
The integrated system also provides a centralised view of business activities, helping merchants reduce the time spent reconciling transactions and managing separate records.
Speaking during the launch, LOOP DFS Chief Commercial Officer Sheila Kimani said the platform would enable entrepreneurs to concentrate more on running and growing their businesses.
“LOOP BIZ+ brings these needs into one platform, so merchants can spend less time reconciling systems and more time running their business,” Kimani said.
She added that the platform’s consolidated view of business activities would help LOOP provide appropriate support to merchants as their needs evolve, with NCBA Bank supporting the credit relationship.
Marketplace Connects Businesses to Consumers
Through LOOP Discover, businesses onboarded on LOOP BIZ+ can list and market their products directly to consumers using the LOOP consumer application.
The marketplace provides merchants with access to more than 500,000 consumers, offering an additional channel for product visibility and customer acquisition beyond walk-in traffic and referrals.
The feature is intended to help businesses expand their reach without relying exclusively on traditional marketing methods.
LOOP DFS partner Visa also highlighted the importance of expanding digital payment opportunities for businesses.
Visa Country Manager for Kenya John Njoroge said combining card acceptance with other digital payment options could help more merchants participate in digital commerce.
He noted that partnerships supporting digital payments could create additional opportunities for businesses to grow and serve customers with different payment preferences.
Financing Options for Business Growth
LOOP BIZ+ also brings together several financing options, including quick loans, overdrafts, supplier credit facilities and pathways to long-term financing.
Eligible merchants can have their transaction histories generated through the POS system used to inform business credit assessments. Credit limits may evolve alongside business growth, subject to eligibility requirements and credit approval.
LOOP DFS said these financing options are intended to support merchants with different funding requirements, from immediate cash needs to longer-term business expansion.
READ: AI-Powered Inventory Management
Another feature is an artificial intelligence-powered inventory management system that helps businesses monitor stock, forecast demand and receive restocking recommendations.
The system identifies slow-moving products and flags them each morning, enabling merchants to assess which items are selling slowly and make informed purchasing decisions.
The inventory intelligence tools are designed to help businesses reduce stock wastage, limit money tied up in unsold goods and manage working capital more efficiently.
The capability is currently available to merchants using the web platform, with a phased rollout to the LOOP BIZ mobile application planned for 2027.
By bringing payments, marketing, financing and inventory management together, LOOP BIZ+ aims to give Kenyan SMEs access to digital business tools that can support operational efficiency and expansion.
