LG Electronics and Safaricom Partner to Elevate Gaming Experience

LG Electronics East Africa and Safaricom PLC have teamed up to bring the first-ever Safaricom Gaming Conference cutting-edge LG TV, audio, and AI Smart Home technologies, creating an immersive gaming innovation hub for the event.

The Michael Joseph Centre was the venue for the conference on September 11, the event attracted hundreds of gamers, developers, tech innovators, and industry leaders from across Africa.

The conference discussions revolved around Africa’s rapidly expanding gaming ecosystem and exploring the prospects and obstacles faced by the sector.

As the official electronics partner, LG demonstrated its elite 4K OLED and QNED TVs together with the Bluetooth-enabled XBOOM speaker, giving the visitors a live demo with excellent images and great sound quality which is redefined gaming immersion.

LG OLED and QNED TVs are also notable for the gamers with their ultra-low 1ms input lag and fast response times, essentially no delay when the controller inputs are shown on the screen. Tech-fraud examples as the C1 and G1 are the first in the world to use Dolby Vision HDR at 4K 120Hz, the motion blur and ghosting are virtually eliminated for seamless, lifelike gaming.

These TVs are powered by the ultra-fast Alpha 8 Gen2 processor that delivers the best HDR over 700 nits. Besides, features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), HGiG, and a special Game Optimizer make them perfect for playing against others.
