Kenya’s serial killer arrested over murders of 42 women

In chilling development that has left the nation shocked, authority has arrested Collins Jumaisa Khalusha, the prime suspect behind gruesome muders of 42 women. Khalisia who confessed to henious crime was apprehended at 3:00am in a club within Soweto area in Kayole Nairobi, where he was reportedly celebrating after watching the Europe 2024 football finals.

The grim discovery of bodies wrapped in sacks at Kware dumpsite, near Mukuru kwa Njenga slums earlier this month has sparked nation outrage panic. The bodies some dismembered pointed to a calculated macabre operation that had gone unnoticed for years.

The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Amin Mohammed confirmed the arrest and describe Khalusha a psychopathic serial killer with no regard for human life “he confessed to having madered 42 wowen between 2022 and July 11, 2024 with his first victim being his wife, Imelda Judith Halenya”, Mohammed revealed.

Khalusha’s killing spree allegedly began after a bitter fallout with his wife, whom he claimed squandered fund meant for businesse. Overcome by hatred and vengeance, he strangled and dismemberd her and dumped her body to Kware.

Following this initial, Khalusha reportedly lured a woman, particularly those he deemed beautiful, only to kill and desmember them in the same brutal manner.

During a search of his single room rental house, where the murders were committed, investigators uncovered disturbing evidence, including 24 Airtel sim cards, eight smartphones, two handbags, two pink panties, and a machette believed to have been used in killings.

A critical breakthrough came through the forensic analysis of the victims mobile phone. Josphine Mulongo Oweno’s phone revealed mobile money transactions conducted on the day she went missing, tipping investigators off to Khalusha’s involvement.

Authorities believed that Khalusha could not been working alone, as another suspect was arrested in possession of oneif the victim’s phone. Muhammed stated that investigation is one is far from over “we are likely to arrest more suspects because we believe he was not alone, we shall cast net wider”.

Khalusha chilling confession also included details of his final victim. The DCI disclosed that Khalusha was in the process of luring another woman, only identified as Susan, at time of his arrest ” we hope to locate Susan and hear her account as we continue piecing together this horrifying puzzle” Mohammed added.

The Kware muders came amid surge in disappearances and abductions in the country, following the protests against controversial Finance Bill 2025 that claimed over 40 lives.

The discovery of this crimes has left Kenyans reeling, as families of reeling victims are urged to come forward to aid the ongoing investigations. Collins Khalusha will be arraigned in court tomorrow, as the nation demands justice for the lives lost.
