The Kenya National Police DT SACCO (KNPDTS) has once again demonstrated its commitment to social impact by hosting its annual mentorship, support, and coaching program aimed at empowering bright but needy students. Held at the Nairobi Safari Club, the initiative brought together students who have lost their parents—members of the SACCO—offering them a platform for guidance, inspiration, and support.
The CSR-driven event is part of KNPDTS’s long-running sponsorship program that currently supports 281 students: 50 in university, 48 awaiting admission, 128 in secondary school, and 55 who have already successfully completed their education.
Speaking at the event, KNPDTS National Chairman David Mategwa emphasized the SACCO’s commitment to the holistic wellbeing of its members’ families.
“At Kenya National Police DT SACCO, we are more than an organization. We are a family. To every student here, know that you are not alone. We will stand by you as your parents, supporting you with care and resources through secondary and university education,” Mategwa said.
The program not only provides financial aid but also emotional and intellectual empowerment. Students had the opportunity to interact with accomplished professionals and SACCO leaders through practical coaching sessions focused on life skills, career development, and overcoming personal challenges.
The initiative aligns with KNPDTS’s broader mission of creating sustainable value and bridging educational gaps for disadvantaged youth. By investing in the future of these students, the SACCO continues to embody the spirit of unity and collective prosperity in Kenyan communities.
As the program continues to grow, KNPDTS reaffirmed its role as a leading force in transforming lives and driving social progress through compassion and purposeful action.
