The NCBA Junior Golf Foundation US Kids Spring Tour fifth leg at the Sigona Golf Club, proved to be a challenging test for junior golfers. With many struggling to meet their targets due to the course’s tricky hilly terrain and wet conditions.
Despite the demanding setup, Kagame Handa, competing in the boys’ 13-14 years category, and Siqian Yu, playing in the girls’ 11-12 years category, delivered outstanding performances. Both golfers carded an impressive one-over-par 73 to claim victory in their respective categories.
In the overall season classification, Amar Shah continues to lead with a total of 111 points despite finishing joint fourth alongside Kahir Ladak with a score of 81. Peter Gathogo, who secured second place in the Sigona leg, follows closely in second position overall with 83 points. Kagame Handa’s stellar performance at Sigona has propelled him to third place in the season rankings with 74.5 points.
The NCBA Junior Golf Foundation Tour continues to showcase Kenya’s young golfing talent, with each leg presenting new challenges and opportunities for players to refine their skills and compete at the highest level.
