In a significant show of solidarity, the Jubilee Party has announced its support for Generation Z protesters set to demonstrate tomorrow against the government’s finance bill and rising cost of living.
Starehe Member of Parliament Hon Amos Mwago, addressing the media, stated, “We are standing with protesters. Kenya is a country governed by the rule of law. We are here to stand with you, and we urge the government to listen to the youth.”

MP Mwago criticized President William Ruto’s administration for its failure to address the concerns of its citizens, particularly the youth who are grappling with economic hardships.
He highlighted the importance of the demonstrations, emphasizing the need for the government to be more responsive to the needs and voices of its people.
Mark Mwenje, Embakasi West Member of Parliament expressed his enthusiasm for the youth’s active participation in defending their country. He praised the young demonstrators for their courage and commitment to holding the government accountable. “The Jubilee Party is fighting the finance bill as many Kenyans are grappling with a high cost of living. Moreover, the party will continue to fight for the rights of Kenyans,” Mwenje stated.

Jubilee Party Secretary General Hon. Jeremiah Kioni condemned the recent arrest of Dr. Justin Omondi, who was providing first aid to the protesters. Kioni applauded Generation Z for their unified stance against the finance bill, noting their efforts transcend tribalism and are rooted in a desire for national liberation. “They are not protesting for money but for our liberation as a country,” Kioni said.
In a show of support, Kioni announced that all Jubilee Party offices would remain open during the demonstrations to provide drinking water, essential supplies, and medical assistance to the protesters. This move underscores the party’s commitment to supporting the youth and ensuring their safety during the protests.
The Jubilee Party’s backing of the demonstrations signifies a critical moment in Kenyan politics, as opposition parties rally to support citizen-led movements challenging government policies.
