Co-operative Bank Foundation ushers in 56 students in 14th annual pre-university induction program
The Co-operative Bank Foundation has welcomed 56 top-performing students into its 14th Annual Pre-University Induction Program, reaffirming its dedication to transforming lives through education.
The event marks a significant milestone in the Foundation’s longstanding Education Scholarship initiative, which has supported over 11,000 students across Kenya since its inception in 2007. The program offers full scholarships for secondary education and boasts an impressive 96 percent completion rate, with more than 90 percent of beneficiaries successfully transitioning to university.
Speaking at the induction event, Co-operative Bank Company Secretary Mr. Samuel Kibugi emphasized the Bank’s enduring mission to nurture future leaders through inclusive access to quality education.
“Co-operative Bank Foundation proudly welcomes 56 bright students to the 14th Annual Pre-University Induction under the Education Scholarship Program! Since 2007, the program has empowered 11,000+ students with access to secondary education, achieving a 96 percent completion rate and over 90 percent university transition,” said Kibugi.
The Pre-University Induction Program is designed to equip the incoming university students with essential life skills, personal development tools, and mentorship to prepare them for academic and career success.
The Foundation’s scholarship program is fully funded by the Co-operative Bank, reflecting the institution’s broader commitment to social impact and sustainable development.
