The Chapa Dimba All-Stars Safaricom are living their dream in Spain, after being pampered with an extraordinary football and cultural experience, which enjoyed a visit to the famous El Alcoraz Stadium.
The young stars saw a spectacular LaLiga Hypermotion game between SD Huesca and Málaga CF, which finished in a dramatic way after Liberto Beltrán scored a goal in stoppage time to complete a 1-0 victory for the hosts.
The All-Stars were initially allowed an exclusive sneak view into the a bit secret SD Huesca facilities, including the dressing rooms, and later, as VIP lunch guests, they dined with academy officials and a representative of the Kenyan Embassy in Spain.
This visit complemented perfectly their interactions with the SD Huesca senior team, where the young Kenyan players met with professionals that shared valuable lessons on the sacrifices, discipline, and resilience needed to succeed at the very top level of football.
“It’s really amazing here in Spain. I gained so much knowledge in just six days. The experience of meeting the SD Huesca senior team was great, and the main takeaway I got was the necessity of discipline and always striving for your best,” said All-Star player Patience Kasichana.
Outside of football, the team has totally absorbed the Spanish culture, having visited Zaragoza City, Canfranc Estación, the biomechanics center Podoactiva, and the historic Casco Histórico de Huesca.
The All-Stars come to Spain for a week-long elite training camp combining sport with culture. Their final test is today as the boys’ team will play against SD Huesca U23 for their last friendly at the Huesca Academy Grounds.
