Airtel Kenya Expands Footprint with New Outlet in Nairobi’s CBD

Airtel Kenya has strengthened its presence in Nairobi with the opening of a new franchise shop in the Central Business District (CBD). Located on Gaborone Road, adjacent to Nairobi Textiles, this new outlet increases Airtel’s total number of outlets in the country to over 2,600.

The newly launched outlet aims to serve as a crucial hub for Airtel Money agents in downtown Nairobi, providing a convenient location for purchasing and balancing float without the need to navigate multiple streets. In addition to facilitating Airtel Money services, the shop will offer a comprehensive range of products including wholesale airtime distribution, 4G and 5G broadband devices, Pocket MiFi devices, SIM cards, SIM swap services, and registration of Airtel Money, Paybill, and till numbers. Customers will also have access to cash deposit and withdrawal services.

During the launch event, Airtel Kenya’s Chief Commercial Officer, Aashish Dutt, emphasized the strategic importance of the new shop. “This strategic shop, which is our 69th outlet, underscores our commitment to enhancing the accessibility and efficiency of Airtel Money services. By scaling up the purchase of Airtel Money float, we are empowering our agents to better serve customers, ensuring a seamless and reliable experience for all,” Dutt stated.

Additionally he highlighted the improved customer experience the shop aims to provide, noting that “customers in downtown Nairobi CBD will now have the opportunity to have their queries resolved effectively in person without the worry of navigating the busy streets.” he added
