OPPO Kenya has today announced the launch of the Reno16 Series, introducing two new 5G smartphones featuring a distinctive cosmic-inspired design, refined craftsmanship and features aimed at consumers seeking style and everyday functionality.
The series, unveiled in Nairobi on Monday, October 26, 2026, comprises the OPPO Reno16 5G and OPPO Reno16 F 5G, with recommended retail prices of KSh 79,999 and KSh 69,999, respectively.
The launch introduces OPPO’s new 3D Pop Planet Design, which combines light, depth and texture to create a distinctive appearance inspired by cosmic visuals.
The company said the new design reflects the growing role of smartphones as tools for personal expression, alongside their practical uses in communication, entertainment and content creation.
OPPO Introduces 3D Pop Planet Design
According to OPPO, the Reno16 Series adopts a new visual identity built around the idea of individuals as vibrant little planets, with design elements intended to stand out while retaining a premium finish.
The Pop White edition features HoloVerse 3D Technology, which uses millions of micro-lenses to reconstruct light and create a nebula-inspired visual effect that changes with light and movement.
The technology gives the imagery on the phone’s back a floating appearance, creating a sense of depth across the device’s surface.
The smartphones also feature a one-piece, cold-sculpted back cover that flows into the camera module, creating a seamless exterior. OPPO says the integrated design provides a smooth feel while helping minimise dust accumulation around the camera area.
Speaking during the launch, OPPO Kenya PR Manager Fredrique Achieng said the company wanted to give consumers a smartphone that reflects their individuality.
“Design has become an important part of how people express their individuality, and with the Reno16 Series, we wanted to bring that expression to life through a smartphone that stands out,” Achieng said.
She added that the design combines creativity and craftsmanship to deliver devices that reflect consumers’ personal styles.
Reno16 Models Offer Different Screen Sizes
The OPPO Reno16 5G comes with a 6.32-inch display, designed to support comfortable one-handed use. Its aerospace-grade aluminium frame adds a premium finish while providing a cool grip.
Meanwhile, the Reno16 F 5G features a larger 6.57-inch display, targeting consumers who prefer more screen space for entertainment, viewing content and creative activities.
The two models offer different form factors while maintaining the series’ focus on design, comfort and self-expression.
OPPO said the Reno16 Series is designed for capturing moments, creating content and sharing experiences, positioning the devices for everyday use.
Pre-orders Open Until November 4
The Reno16 Series will be available for pre-order in Kenya from October 26 to November 4, 2026, through OPPO stores, authorised dealers and e-commerce platforms.
The Reno16 5G retails at KSh 79,999, while the Reno16 F 5G costs KSh 69,999. Both models are available in Pop White and Twilight Violet.
Customers who pre-order during the promotional period will receive OPPO TWS earbuds, six months of screen protection, a 10,000mAh OPPO power bank and three months of Gemini Pro with 5TB of storage.
The launch expands OPPO’s smartphone offering in Kenya, with the Reno16 Series combining design-focused features, 5G connectivity and promotional benefits for early buyers.
