KCB Bank, RUBiS Energy Kenya and the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) have launched a new campaign aimed at promoting inclusive tourism and encouraging Kenyans to experience the country beyond conventional sightseeing.
Dubbed “Kenya Beyond Sight,” the five-day initiative brings together six content creators, J-Supercharge, Denno Music, Sammy Brayo, Nancy Cosy, Chelah Richards and Delvin Obara, who will travel across Kenya’s Eastern and Coastal regions while documenting their experiences.
The campaign seeks to challenge perceptions around disability and tourism by highlighting destinations, cultures and experiences from a multi-sensory perspective.
Through their social media platforms and media storytelling, the creators will showcase the practical realities of travelling with disabilities while demonstrating how Kenya’s tourism experiences can be made more accessible and welcoming to a wider range of visitors.
Speaking during the launch, KCB Group Director of Marketing and Communication Rosalind Gichuru said the campaign reflects the bank’s brand purpose of “For People. For Better.”
“Kenya Beyond Sight is a practical expression of what our brand purpose, For People. For Better means,” Gichuru said.
She said the initiative will showcase Kenya’s tourism offerings while encouraging a more inclusive approach to experiencing the country.
The campaign will also highlight KCB’s digital payment solutions, with the creators using KCB Debit and Prepaid Cards for cashless transactions during the trip, including payments for accommodation, transport, dining and entry to attraction sites.
RUBiS Energy Kenya is supporting the journey through its network of service stations along the route. The company is covering fuel costs for the travelling team and providing Enjoy Shop vouchers for snacks, refreshments and other travel essentials.
KTB is supporting the campaign through destination marketing, media engagement and coordination with tourism stakeholders.
The tourism board has also liaised with the Kenya Wildlife Service to facilitate complimentary access to Malindi Marine National Park. In addition, KTB connected the team with Accessible Travel Kenya, which designed the itinerary around the group’s accessibility requirements and will provide transport to the Coast.
The creators will also receive complimentary access to Haller Park courtesy of Bamburi Cement.
KTB Chief Executive Officer June Chepkemei said tourism experiences should be accessible and welcoming to everyone regardless of age or ability.
“As the Kenya Tourism Board, we believe that our destination must be accessible, welcoming and enjoyable to all visitors,” Chepkemei said.
She added that the campaign provides an opportunity to showcase attractions along the Kenyan Coast while encouraging tourism stakeholders to consider how accommodation facilities, attractions, transport operators and tour companies can improve accessibility.
The campaign comes as Kenya’s tourism industry continues to contribute significantly to the economy.
According to the World Travel & Tourism Council’s 2026 Economic Impact Research, Travel & Tourism contributed US$12.7 billion to Kenya’s economy in 2025, equivalent to 9.3 per cent of national GDP, while supporting approximately 1.8 million jobs.
KCB said the initiative aligns with its commitment to shared value and the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 8 on decent work and economic growth, SDG 10 on reduced inequalities and SDG 17 on partnerships.
By bringing together financial services, energy, tourism and content creators, the partners aim to demonstrate how collaboration can promote more inclusive participation in Kenya’s tourism economy while giving travellers with disabilities greater visibility in destination storytelling.
