Nairobi Burger Week has returned to the city, bringing together more than 400 restaurants for 10 days of burger experiences, dining offers and restaurant discovery across the capital.
The 2026 edition officially launched on Wednesday and will run from August 27 to September 6, giving Nairobi residents an opportunity to explore the city’s diverse food scene through one of its most popular foods.
Participating restaurants will offer special burger experiences throughout the campaign, encouraging diners to try new restaurants, revisit familiar favourites and discover hidden dining spots across different neighbourhoods.
The campaign comes as changing consumer habits increasingly influence how Nairobians discover restaurants and food experiences. Recommendations from friends, food creators and online communities have become an important part of dining decisions, with conversations around new restaurants and hidden gems helping shape Nairobi’s food culture.
Wendy Lorenze, General Manager at Eat Out Kenya, said food is increasingly becoming a way for people to discover and experience the city.
“Food is increasingly becoming one of the ways people discover and experience Nairobi. We see people constantly sharing where they have eaten, recommending hidden gems and encouraging others to try new places,” Lorenze said.
She added that Burger Week brings the culture of food discovery into a shared experience by encouraging consumers to explore restaurants they may not have visited while celebrating the diversity of Nairobi’s culinary scene.
Throughout the 10-day campaign, diners will be able to discover participating restaurants and their Burger Week offers through the Eat Out website and Instagram page. The programme will feature different restaurant experiences across the more than 400 participating venues.
The 2026 edition has attracted partners from the food, beverage, mobility, delivery and payments sectors, supporting restaurants and consumers throughout the festival.
Cheese Love and Kenafric, through its Kingsmill brand, are providing participating kitchens with promotional pricing on selected premium ingredients. Clique is also supporting restaurants with more than 700 discounted products aimed at helping participating venues streamline their operations.
EABL is participating as a beverage partner, offering draught beer pairings designed to complement signature burgers at participating restaurants.
Consumers ordering from home will also benefit from offers supported by Uber Eats and Glovo, including discounts and free delivery promotions during the campaign.
Uber is further supporting the festival through mobility offers, with guests able to receive discounts of up to 50 per cent on rides to and from participating restaurants.
For diners paying at participating locations, Safaricom M-PESA is offering instant Airtime Rewards, providing an additional incentive for customers during the campaign. Coca-Cola is also supporting the 2026 edition as a beverage partner.
Organisers say Nairobi Burger Week is designed to encourage residents to experience more of the city’s hospitality and restaurant scene.
From discovering a new neighbourhood restaurant and trying different interpretations of the classic burger to visiting popular dining spots, the campaign seeks to make food exploration a central part of Nairobi’s social and culinary experience.
With hundreds of restaurants taking part, the 2026 edition is expected to provide diners with a wide range of burger experiences while supporting businesses across Nairobi’s food and hospitality industry.
