Meliora Technologies has officially unveiled Tiara Connect, an all-in-one customer communication platform, as the company celebrates a decade of innovation in the technology space.
The Kenyan-born software engineering firm says the launch marks a significant milestone in its journey to build homegrown digital solutions tailored to African markets. Although the platform has been operational among select partners, its formal entry into the market signals Meliora’s broader ambition to strengthen digital inclusion and business communication across sectors.
Tiara Connect enables organisations to engage customers through multiple channels, including transactional SMS such as one-time passwords (OTPs), bulk messaging, surveys, USSD services (*710#), and email. The platform is designed to serve businesses of all sizes—from large banks sending payment notifications to SMEs such as SACCOs, fintech firms, schools, and health facilities seeking cost-effective outreach solutions.
Speaking during the company’s 10th anniversary celebration at the Pullman Hotel Nairobi Upper Hill, Co-Founder and Lead Pacesetter Samuel Kamochu said the platform was inspired by the everyday needs of small and medium enterprises.
“Our inspiration for Tiara Connect came from the everyday heroes of our economy—the SMEs, educators, health workers, and local enterprises who need to reach people quickly and reliably,” said Kamochu. “This launch is not just about technology but a contribution to Kenya’s digital inclusion journey. Our vision is to make meaningful communication possible for every organisation, no matter their size or technical capacity.”
With over 10 years of experience in the telecommunications space, Meliora says Tiara Connect offers 99.99 percent service availability, direct connections in more than 22 countries, and indirect connections in several others. The platform also boasts a throughput of 2,000 transactions per second (TPS), positioning it as a high-capacity solution for institutions handling large communication volumes.
The company reports that more than 400 businesses—including major banks with networks across Africa, SACCOs, and health institutions—are already using the platform. According to Meliora, partners have cited stability, affordability, and strong local support as key advantages.
As Kenya continues expanding digital services across sectors, Meliora positions Tiara Connect as a foundational tool for business-to-customer engagement, aimed at strengthening customer relationships, enhancing customer success, and driving sustainable growth.
The firm has hinted at future enhancements, including Customer Value Management (CVM) and analytics capabilities that will enable organisations to measure and better understand the impact of their outreach efforts.
With the formal launch of Tiara Connect, Meliora says it is reaffirming its mission to create impactful technology solutions that address Africa’s communication challenges and extend beyond the continent.
