Tatu City partners with Stanbic Bank to ease property ownership for Kenyans

1 Mins read

Tatu City has partnered with Stanbic Bank Kenya to provide flexible and affordable financing solutions for Kenyans and diaspora investors.

The agreement, signed through a Memorandum of Understanding, will allow prospective homeowners to access loans to purchase properties at Tatu City and its sister developments, Oaklands and Zuri Springs.

The partnership aims to eliminate financial barriers and streamline the homeownership journey—from loan application to title deed acquisition.

“This partnership is about removing the financing barrier and helping Kenyans take the bold step toward home ownership,” said Erskine Kiliru, Sales Director at Tatu City. “Together with Stanbic Bank, we are creating a seamless, transparent process that supports buyers every step of the way.”

Under the deal, Stanbic Bank will provide up to 105 percent financing for homes valued at KES 10.5 million, with a competitive fixed interest rate of 9.5%, made possible through the bank’s collaboration with the Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company (KMRC).

Mwaura Mwangi, Head of Product at Stanbic Bank, noted that the partnership aligns with the bank’s vision to make homeownership achievable. “By partnering with Tatu City, we are unlocking access to high-quality developments and helping Kenyans build lasting wealth. Under our Live Joyfully proposition, we want to offer a smart, affordable way to own their dream property.”

With starting prices as low as KES 2.8 million, the developments offer a variety of investment opportunities—from land banking and rental yield prospects to ideal family homes. Tatu City boasts over 2,000 clean title deeds issued, confirming the project’s credibility and transparent transaction processes.

The developments also offer high investment value, with annual property appreciation of up to 20 percent, prime locations, ready infrastructure, lifestyle amenities, and flexible payment plans.

Currently, over 25,000 people live, work, and study in Tatu City, which is home to more than 100 businesses including global and regional names such as Heineken, Dormans, Kärcher, Freight Forwarders Solutions, Roast by Carnivore, and Davis & Shirtliff.

This collaboration is expected to expand homeownership opportunities significantly and further position Tatu City as a leading destination for sustainable urban living in Kenya.
