The company reaffirmed its global leadership in wearable and tablet innovation, showcasing devices designed to support wellness-focused lifestyles and productivity across multiple platforms, including Android, iOS and HarmonyOS. The GT6 Series and GT6 Pro feature emotional wellbeing 2.0 capabilities, upgraded sports tracking, pro-grade outdoor tools, advanced cycling analytics, enhanced heart-rate monitoring, improved sleep tracking and ultra-long battery life. Built with premium materials such as sapphire glass and titanium alloy, the wearables emphasize durability and luxury.
Huawei said the Kenyan market continues to show strong appetite for devices that blend fitness, mobility and high-quality design at competitive prices. “Kenya is a rapidly growing hub for digital wellness, and we’re proud to bring global innovations like the WATCH FIT 4 and Band 10 to this market,” said Jin Renbin, Device Manager, Huawei Kenya, noting that the new lineup is tailored for both style-focused users and serious fitness enthusiasts.
On the productivity front, the new MatePad TXZ tablets offer PC-level performance complemented by Huawei’s PaperMatte display technology, which provides a glare-free, paper-like viewing experience. The tablets are designed for students, professionals and creators who need portable devices for work, study and digital creativity.
The launch strongly emphasized Huawei’s ecosystem strategy. The company highlighted expanded compatibility across HarmonyOS, Android, iOS and other Huawei devices, enabling users to transition effortlessly between phones, tablets, laptops and wearables. This cross-platform integration aligns with Huawei’s vision to “bring digital to every person, home and organization for a fully connected, intelligent world.”
Speaking during the event, Wilfred Otieno, Marketing Manager, Devices at Huawei Technologies Kenya, reaffirmed the brand’s commitment to delivering meaningful, inclusive innovation. “Technology needs to add value to everyday living. With this new lineup, we are empowering every user to live smarter and better,” he said, noting that Huawei aims to offer flagship capabilities at prices accessible to Kenyan consumers.
The GT6 Series has already been rolled out in China, Malaysia, Japan and the Philippines, with launches set for Indonesia and the UAE. Kenya now joins the first wave of African markets to receive the new wearables, underscoring Huawei’s strategic focus on the region.
The GT6 Series, GT6 Pro and MatePad TXZ tablets are now available in Huawei stores and authorized retail outlets across Kenya. As part of the rollout, Huawei will offer promotional bundles and in-store demonstrations to allow users to experience the devices firsthand.
